Full Mini-Album Stream: Chronepsis –Weight of Eternity

The mark of metallic band title is its origin, the backstory. In-joke? Biblical reference? Satanic bible reference? Lord of the Rings reference? Dungeons & Dragons character? Rely New Jersey prog demise outfit Chronepsis within the latter class. And their debut, six-track mini-album, Weight of Eternity, is mainly a D&D session in demise metallic kind, replete with all the standard warriors and monsters. The quintet—Eric Cuffari (drums), Gavin Miele (bass), Torr Walker (rhythm guitar), Mike Kelliher (lead guitar), Chris Curtis (vocals)—set their battle tales to proggy, intense melodic DM with vocals that vary from uncooked screeches to deep growls.

Weight of Eternity was written, recorded and produced by the band, whereas mixing and mastering was dealt with by Erik Johnson at Darkish Prophet Audio. It will likely be self-released and out there on signed CD and digitally on April 4. Place your preorder right here.

“Chronepsis is the dragon god of destiny, demise and judgment. The Watcher (as Chronepsis is understood) observes a terrifying assortment of tales, engulfed in horror, conquest, vengeance and transformation—tales of enraged warriors and hideous monsters from a number of realms.”
