JUNKYARD frontman David Roach has died after a battle with most cancers.
On Saturday (August 2),Roach‘s JUNKYARD bandmates shared the next message through social media: “It’s with nice unhappiness that we announce the passing of David Roach.
“After a brave battle with most cancers, David handed away peacefully final evening at residence, within the loving arms of his spouse.
“He was a gifted artist, performer, songwriter, and singer — however above all, a faithful father, husband, and brother.
“Our ideas are with your entire Roach household and everybody who liked him.”
This previous February, it was introduced that Roach was identified with an aggressive type of most cancers. It was later revealed that he was battling an “aggressive squamous cell carcinoma affecting his head, neck, and throat”. He reportedly obtained the shock prognosis after falling unwell with a “fever and cough”
Roach, who had been a part of JUNKYARD since 1987, married his spouse Jennifer Michael-Roach on July 19, 2025.
A GoFundMe web page, which was launched by Jennifer together with a few of David‘s shut mates, raised $35,000 for the singer’s remedy as he had no earnings coming in and was “struggling to maintain a roof over his head”.
In 1989 JUNKYARD burst on to the scene with its self-titled debut launch on Geffen Information which featured the MTV “Hip Clip Of The Week” “Hollywood”.
