Sweden’s Disrupted is about to launch its third full-length album, Stinking Demise, on January 24, 2025. Identified for his or her signature HM-2 tone—an indicator of the traditional Swedish demise steel sound—and unwavering dedication to the style’s roots, Disrupted continues to ship a brutal homage to demise steel’s golden age.
Mikael Hanni and Thomas Liljekvist, who shaped the band within the Dalecarlia area in 2012, shortly carved out a distinct segment with their debut EP, “Heavy Demise,” in 2014 and the relentless follow-up, “Morbid Demise,” in 2015. Their 2020 album, “Pure Demise,” launched amid a world pandemic, cemented their status as standard-bearers of the HM-2 legacy. Their upcoming album, “Stinking Demise,” guarantees one other dose of gut-ripping riffs and skull-crushing ferocity.
About their newest launch, the band instructed Decibel, “It’s been 5 years since our final album, and we’re thrilled to unleash ‘Stinking Demise’ upon the world.
