Rising R&B sensation Jai’Len Josey has returned with “New Lady,” her first style of recent music in two years, by way of Hillman Grad Data/Def Jam.
On the bouncy monitor, which she co-produced with HeroThaProducer, Insanity and Michael Barney, Josey sings of the fun that comes with a budding romance.
“Don’t be afraid of my loving, boy / Giving all of my may / You’re liking what you’re seeing / So come on, child, put the fireplace deep in,” she sings.
Talking on her blazing monitor, Josey explains, “‘New Lady’ is about that cute feeling you get as a woman whenever you first begin speaking to a man. It’s like, ‘I noticed you. You noticed me. What’s the following transfer?’”
She provides, “Musically, the monitor mixes R&B and U.Okay. storage. A whole lot of my experiences come from underground New York and the music I heard once I was on Broadway. I’m bending these ballroom pockets with R&B and making a world of my very own.”
“New Lady” arrives with a vibrant workout-themed visualizer that brings the tune’s enjoyable and flirty lyrics to life.
“New Lady” will seem on Josey’s forthcoming debut album, Serial Romantic, government produced by the legendary Difficult Stewart (Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Rihanna).
The album will observe Josey’s 2023 EP, Southern Delicacy. The latter undertaking, launched April 14, 2023, her scrumptious monitor “Good Soup” and the intoxicating “Pay For My Drink.”
“Southern Delicacy symbolizes development. It’s the story of me, and all of the conditions and relationships which have molded me into the girl I’m changing into. All of the experiences of my life in Atlanta, within the south, all made me into who I’m,” Josey defined.
Later that fall, Josey launched Conversations From a Payphone, a double single that included “Blended Indicators” that includes Matt McGhee and “Playground.” “This two-pack is the glimpse of what’s to come back,” Josey informed Rated R&B. “It’s a good deeper journey into my thoughts as an artist and producer.”
