Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Nija has returned with “thirty second Flooring,” her first track of 2025.
The syrupy jam, produced by Mike Hector and eliasodt, finds Nija spending intimate time with a particular individual — tucked away from the world. The metaphoric title speaks to the will and thrill to have privateness on this social media age of oversharing.

Talking on the that means behind “thirty second Flooring,” Nija explains to Rated R&B: “I’m a very non-public individual, and I needed ’thirty second Flooring’ to mirror that. The lodge room flooring was the right analogy for holding issues simply between us. I used to be intentional about each element of the track as a result of I needed it to have the suitable steadiness, and the vibe clicked as quickly as I heard the beat.”
“thirty second Flooring” follows “Unruly,” launched in October 2024, her first single in two years. “I wrote ‘Unruly’ as a result of I felt just like the girlies wanted one other anthem to rejoice themselves,” Nija advised Rated R&B. “It’s about figuring out who you’re, figuring out your value and figuring out the facility you possess whereas wanting good doing it.”
