The Girls’s Musical Membership Of Toronto (WMCT) has named Amy Hillis as the brand new Inventive Director of Music within the Afternoon, the group’s longstanding signature live performance sequence. Hillis will start curating the programming for the 2026-26 season.
Amy will take over from Simon Fryer, who has held the place since 2006.

Amy Hillis is a violinist, educator, and advocate for Canadian music. Amy is a local of Regina, Saskatchewan. Gillis returned to McGill to finish her Physician of Music in Violin Efficiency.
